Eros I - Candlelight Dream

We dreamed in whispers.
Lips that kissed the soul
Lit the beast on fire and
Burning the eyes,
Tortured the body.
The mind's inner calm
Enveloped the smoke
Until the black stole the luster of the shine
Glimmer of the eyes fading
Into the silent scars.
The smell too strong
And too lasting.

We dreamed in arson
Of the night.
Black and red.
The crimson charcoal left by the bleeding bloody fire.
The kiss of the spark.
The last blink of white,
Before,
The end.

I was dreaming within the mind of the beast
And from her ears, I witnessed the sound of burning.
The heart beating, the eyes melting.
I saw the blurring images of life's extinguish.
And from those eyes,
Were left the seeds of pain.
I was dreaming of life
Vanishing.

Eye
Opened my eyes to light.
I got up and made breakfast.
Crunching on toast.
Eye
Remembered
That I was dreaming in flames.
Whisper.
